American Wick Drain Soil Strip Drain

American Wick Drain Soil Strip Drain is a two-part prefabricated geocomposite drainage system consisting of a formed polymeric core covered on all sides with a nonwoven filtration geotextile. The geotextile allows water to pass into the core while restricting the movement of soil particles, which could clog the core. It is designed as a replacement for perforated pipe and/or graded aggregate drainage systems for the use of draining surface and near surface ground water. When compared to conventional methods, AWD Soil Strip Drain provides a superior drainage system—at a fraction of the cost in a fraction of the time—and is far less disruptive to surrounding areas. SITEDRAIN Strip 6400 geocomposite strip drain products are composed of a dimpled polymeric perforated core fully wrapped in a nonwoven geotextile. The geotextile allows water to pass through while retaining backfill materials. The perforated core allows water collection from all sides and provides a continuous flow path to designated drainage exits.

SITEDRAIN Strip 6400 products provide a value engineered alternative to perforated pipe and aggregate subsurface drainage systems requiring moderate strength, high flow capacity and a geotextile meeting AASHTO M288 Class 3 subsurface drainage requirements.

American Wick Drain Fittings

American Wick Drain has a full line of fittings to help make any installation easier. Standard fittings are designed specifically to fit the 6″ strip drains. Universal fittings are designed to be used with 12″ through 36″ strip drains. End outlets and tee outlets are designed to connect with a standard 4″ diameter plastic pipe. Fittings are simply slipped over the strip drain and held securely in place with underground tape.
