Landscape Fabrics

Landscape fabrics play an important role in every aspect of landscape design. They can be used to block weeds and sunlight, while allowing water and fertilizers to pass through. When laying mulch, our landscape fabric can hold it in place, even on steep slopes. Using landscape fabrics reduces ongoing maintenance and herbicide use.

Sometimes referred to as “fuzzy back”, our landscape fabric is specially designed to provide superior performance over traditional weed fabrics. The combination of woven and nonwoven construction techniques provides for unique fiber uniformity that is unsurpassed at blocking sunlight from reaching soil and retarding weed growth. The uniform construction also provides advanced water and air permeability, allowing soils to breathe and take on moisture and nutrients from fertilizers, all while resisting water confinement on the fabric surface. Our landscape fabric is UV stable. It is perfect for applications in nursery or greenhouse production areas. Convenient purple marker lines assist in plant alignment. When installed with the fuzzy side up, the added frictional values hold mulch securely, even on steep slopes. Installing with the fuzzy side down helps ensure an intimate connection to the soil.
